CardNexus Translation Glossary
This page is the canonical bilingual glossary for all marketplace-related terminology. Every user-facing string — in the web app, mobile app, emails, and notifications — must use the terms defined here. When adding or updating translations, consult this page first.
CardNexus addresses its users formally. In French, always use “vous” (vouvoiement), never “tu” (tutoiement). In English, “you/your” is naturally neutral.

7. Dispute & Issue Resolution Terms
“Dispute” vs “Issue” convention: Use “dispute” (FR: “litige”) in status labels, filter chips, and formal/legal contexts. Anti-Patterns
Common mistakes to avoid when writing marketplace copy:
| Mistake | Correct |
|---|---|
| FR: “Non ouvert” (for condition grade) | “Unopened” |
| FR: “Marché” (tab label for marketplace) | “Marketplace” |
| FR: Using “tu” (tutoiement) | Always use “vous” (vouvoiement) |
| EN: Mixing “issue” and “dispute” in same UI context | Use “dispute” for status labels, “issue” for notifications |
Known Quirks
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
global.labels.marketplace key | Despite the key name, the value is “Price source” / “Source de prix”. This is used for the price source dropdown, not the marketplace label. The key name is misleading but renaming would require updating 8+ files across frontend and mobile. |
global.common.listForSale vs global.common.putForSale | Two English variants that map to the same French translation (“Mettre en vente”). Both are valid and intentionally kept. |
